Filters, Filters, Filters

Keeping track of when your filters need to be changed is one of the most important "home maintenance" duties I'm sure you are all very familiar with! But for most, the filters seem to get swept under the rug.

So when should you change your filters? The typical recommendation is every 3-6 months. This can depend on several factors: pets, filter size, house size, etc. We recommend checking the filter ever 3-6 months to see if it is dirty. You DO NOT want to let it get too dirty or the system could lack in its ability to work to its utmost potential.

Its important to note: the higher the MERV the better the filter, but the higher the MERV the more often the filter will need to be changed. (You can check the MERV by looking at the side of the filter right near the filter size)

So, in summary:

(1) Set a reminder on your calendar to check your filters every 3-6 months

(2) Change your filter when it is dirty (but no too dirty its clogged!)

(3) Call Tom Fricker Heating and A/C, Inc. for maintenance once a year

(4) & REPEAT !
